A datacentre owned by Manx Telecom says it wants to be able to change colours to mark important dates.
Synapse 360, on the Isle of Man Business Park in Braddan, has applied for planning permission to fit colours lights around its building.
In its application, it says the six lights would illuminate the Greenhill Data Centre in green.
But it says it wants to fit colour-changing lights to allow it to celebrate good causes such as Cancer Research.
