The Island's creamery says it needs new security fencing in order to meet UK food standards.
Isle of Man Creamery on Ballafletcher Farm Road in Cronkbourne has applied to build the 2.4 metre anti-climb fencing around its premises.
The business says it's to make sure it meets the British Retail Consortium's food safety standards - as well as security codes of practice for two major UK retailers.
In its application, it says making sure it can still supply the chains will bring economic benefits to the Island as a whole.
