Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh has announced he'll defend his seat in the general election this year.
Mr Wanneburgh's represented the constituency since 2021, and is also chair of the Manx Utilities Authority.
He says the next House of Keys will face challenges like rising healthcare costs, a budget deficit and energy and food security.
This year's vote will take place on Thursday, September 24.
