Hopes to open gyms in under two weeks

It's hoped gyms will be able to open in a limited way in just under two weeks.

At this afternoon's government COVID-19 briefing, Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, says guidance is being finalised on the matter and, if all goes to plan, gyms will be able to open their doors with some restrictions from June 15.

Steam rooms and saunas would stay closed, however, due to risk of infection and classes involving 'intense aerobic activity' would still not be permitted either.

Confirmation on the situation is expected next week.
