The Role

3FM has an opportunity to join our news department as a Graduate Trainee Multimedia Journalist.

Ultimately, your role will be rooted in communication, to find stories and bring them to the public in a concise and coherent manner.

Your duties will include – research and information gathering, pre-recorded and live broadcasting, script-writing (on air and online), conducting interviews and representing 3FM at events.

You will work alongside our videographers, sales team and primarily – the news desk.

We’re looking for someone who has an interest in people, news and current affairs, alongside excellent written and oral communication skills.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to build rapport and handle interactions with sensitivity and diplomacy – while maintaining impartiality. 

A clean, full driving licence is essential.
