A Douglas man made his musical mark on TV at the weekend - when he appeared on the X Factor.
Sam Smith, who goes by the stage name Sam Black, lives in Cronk y Berry and appeared on the ITV reality talent show on Saturday.
He auditioned for X Factor on the Island before travelling to Liverpool to audition in front of judges, and then making it to Wembley.
