Two crashes in two hours for emergency services

Emergency services rescued an elderly woman yesterday who'd mounted the pavement and crashed her car into a wall.

It happened on Station Road in Port Erin at 10.15am outside the Railway Museum - the car had become jammed between the wall and a parked car.

Crews were also called to Johnny Watterson's Lane in Douglas in the afternoon after a woman's car spun out of control and into gorse bushes.

She was taken to Noble's Hospital after complaining of pain in her neck and shoulders although it's not thought she was seriously injured.
