Work is underway to establish whether a speed limit should be brought in on the Mountain Road during the TT period.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed a review has been started saying it's 'right and proper' to periodically look at its approach to road safety:
Earlier this month the Coroner of Inquests said he would be asking government for a temporary limit to be brought in whilst the road is one way - it follows the death of a TT visitor in June.
