Threat of volcanic ash cloud fails to impact May figures for Ronaldsway

Airport sees nearly 10% increase

There have been some positive figures recorded at Ronaldsway last month with a significant passenger increase, despite the threat of more volcanic ash.

Just under 60,000 passengers passed through the airport in May representing a 10% rise on last year’s figures.

Routes to Manchester, Southampton and Brussels all performed well.

Airport Director, Ann Reynolds has said they have come a long way since the chaotic period in 2010 which crippled the European airline network.
