Telecom regulators on Island for major conference

Europe's telecoms regulators have descended on the Isle of Man looking to future-proof the use of spectrum radio frequencies worldwide.

60 delegates make up a working group from the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrators.
 
It's being hosted at The Claremont Hotel in Douglas. 
 
The event will run until Thursday - with the aim of preparing attendees for the World Radio Conference in Geneva. 
 
Managing the spectrum means regulating the use of radio frequencies to ensure they're used efficiently to gain a net social benefit. 
 
Martin Fenton is Ofcom's spectrum expert, he says it's not just about Europe's service:
