Not even the addition of a second operational bow thrust could prevent cancellations on the Ben-my-Chree today.
The high winds have meant cancellations have been ordered on the 8.45am Douglas to Heysham crossing, and its 2.15pm return sailing.
The vessel was however able to make the middle of the night crossing, arriving in at 6.45am.
There's been no confirmation as to what is happening with the 7.45pm crossing from Douglas to Heysham with a further update to be issued at 5.00pm at the latest.
