High winds expected to cause damage on the roads

Sea debris spillage has caused a road closure from Port Jack to Summer Hill in Douglas.

Gale force winds are expected to reach 60 to 75 mph in places as a result of Storm Abigail.

The Met Office says it's expected to cause some damage across the Island - which will last until tonight.

Abigail has attracted an amber weather warning across the British Isles - with high-tide expected at 11:30am.

The road will remain closed until the Department of Infrastructure deems it safe to re-open.
