A former company director died from drowning, an inquest has heard.
A hearing into the death of Derek Walter Beavers heard his body was discovered face-down in Ramsey Harbour on November 10.
Coroner of Inquests John Needham was told Mr Beavers, who was born in Portsmouth, was discovered fully dressed with no marks or injuries.
Detective Constable Lesley Taylor said police inquiries into his death are continuing.
The hearing at Douglas Courthouse on Friday was told Mr Beavers, of Fairway Drive in Ramsey, was identified by his wife at Noble's Hospital's mortuary.
Consultant Pathologist Dr Irvine Long said a post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be drowning.
Mr Needham released Mr Beavers' body for funeral arrangements to be made, and passed his condolences to the bereaved family.
He adjourned the case to a date to be fixed.
