Primary School children trained on how to stay safe near water this Summer

The water safety message is particularly relevant on the Island given the 100 miles of coastline.

Schoolchildren across the Island have been receiving information on how to stay safe near water, as part of Water Safety Awareness Week.

The National Sports Centre has been spearheading the on Island campaign, which is a Royal Life Saving Society promotion.

Groups of primary school children received training at the NSC, geared toward giving them a much wider perspective of water safety.

The water safety message is particularly relevant on the Island given the 100 miles of coastline.

The aim is to build on the initiative next year, involving more schools.
