Pensioner to stand trial for concealing criminal property

A pensioner from Ramsey who denies concealing and removing criminal property from the Isle of Man will stand trial.

61-year-old Jean Bonnar has pleaded not guilty to four charges and has now been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

The Ramsey woman denies concealing £2,000 at the Isle of Man Bank in Ramsey between August 31st and October 1st last year.

It's also alleged she removed money from the Island at Sulby Post Office, and £2,800 at Ramsey Post Office, in August and October respectively.

A fourth charge of concealing £2,700 at her home address on October 16th has also been denied.

The case has now been adjourned to a date to be fixed - Bonnar has been bailed in the meantime.
