More staff needed at Nobles Hospital

Money will be spent on recruiting more staff at Noble's Hospital after serious concerns that the levels of nursing staff are 'insufficient'.

It follows a review of Acute Medical Admissions and the care of people with long-term conditions by the West Midlands Quality Review Service.

The review of AMU found nurse staffing levels for the number of patients was 'insufficient' and many of the staff didn't have the range of competences expected.

Several staff also complained that they were put under too much pressure and sometimes went home believing they hadn't done a good job.
