Charging people to park on Douglas Promenade during development works will have a negative impact on retail.
That's the opinion of both retailers and the public after the Department of Infrastructure announced motorists will have to pay to park on the seaward walkway.
Minister Phil Gawne met with the Chamber of Commerce on Friday - however he says it isn't really his responsibility:
