Low tides disrupting ferry sailings

Ferry sailings are being affected by low tides creating difficult berthing conditions in Douglas.

The Steam Packet Company says crossings affect Heysham sailings using the King Edward VIII linkspan.

A Notice to Mariners has confirmed a berth depth of just five meters – the company needs at least 6.5 metres.

The changes affect both Manxman and Ben-my-Chree until Saturday.
