Living wage under consideration says Chief

Government is looking at introducing a living wage on the Isle of Man.

That's according to the Chief Minister who was grilled on the issue in Tynwald yesterday.

Howard Quayle confirmed it will be included in the forthcoming 'Programme for Government' and is also being looked at by the Minimum Wage Committee.

He said he hoped the questioner - Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper - had raised his concerns there:

Mr Hooper didn't confirm to the court whether he had or hadn't - instead choosing not to ask any supplementary questions.
