A ban on a legal high in the UK will now come into force on the Isle of Man also.
The UK courts have determined that Methoxetamine has been made an illegal Class B drug backdated to 26th February of this year.
The substance, more commonly known as Mexxy is considered a serious health risk and has been attributed to loss of life in the UK.
Before its ban Mexxy was available online and in some shops; possession of the drug could now carry a 5 year sentence.
