Local authorities in the west of the Island have announced their intentions to share housing responsibilities.
They're working with the Department of Infrastructure to give tenants the choice of more than 600 properties.
It could also provide synergies in repairs and maintenance for houses located in Peel, Foxdale, St John's, Crosby and Glen Maye.
Earlier this month a Southern Area Housing Working Group was set up to introduce combined waiting lists and allocations in the south of the Island.
