Extra buses and police presence will aim to reduce congestion for Royal Show

Police will be on duty to manage the traffic flow on both days at car park entrances and key junctions.

With the Royal Manx Agricultural Show being held at its new location in Knockaloe for the first time this coming Friday and Saturday the Police have issued guidelines to the public to help reduce traffic congestion.

The main route to and from the show ground from the North and East of the Island is via Patrick Road in St Johns; this is accessed via Ballacraine and the Hope Cross Roads.

They have also put on a dedicated bus service running from St Johns to the show ground, with buses leaving every half hour from 10:10am.

Police will be on duty to manage the traffic flow on both days at car park entrances and key junctions.

Sgt Stu Gardner from Peel Police Station has said there will be a strong police presence to ensure the days proceedings go smoothly.
