The Manx International Football Alliance will make a bid to host a major footballing tournament after coming second in the ConIFA World Football Cup.
Team Ellan Vannin narrowly missed victory in Sweden yesterday after losing on penalties to the County of Nice.
The final score was 5-3.
The Manx team was 250/1 outsiders to win the event before it started.
MIFA says a formalised bid will now be entered to host the ConIFA European Championships in 2015.
