The Chief Minister has admitted he can understand why there has been a negative response to an MHK moving into sheltered accommodation.
Fellow Ramsey representative Leonard Singer is set to move into a property in the town – a decision approved by the Ramsey and Northern Districts Housing Committee.
It will mean the 70-year-old, who earns around £50,000 per year, will pay £90 per week in rent.
