A Castletown man has admitted drug offences after he was caught hiding cannabis in his loft.
45-year-old Dennis Sean Glassey, of School Hill, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing the Class B substance with intent to supply it.
Police raided Glassey's home on February 22nd - in the loft they found two tins which contained four large bags of cannabis and seven 100 gram bars of resin.
A red money tin, which contained more cannabis and drug paraphernalia, was also located hidden in the boiler cupboard.
The court was told the cannabis had a street value of at least £6,000 - after being arrested Glassey told officers he smoked the drug to relieve back pain.
However he told them he'd found the drug in the nearby Poulsom Park and had hidden it because he didn't know who to tell about it.
Glassey was committed for sentencing at the Court of General Gaol Delivery - he's been bailed until his next appearance there on March 20th.
