A Douglas man has been ordered to keep the peace for the next 12 months after "pushing and shoving" his girlfriend.
33-year-old Cesar Teodoro Maia, of Broadway, was handed a Binding Over Order at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week.
He'd previously denied two counts of common assault on a female - they allegedly took place on December 21st last year and January 20th at his home.
The court was told the complainant in the case had withdrawn her complaint saying she still loved him and wanted to "give him another chance".
Withdrawing both charges the prosecutor described it as "a sad, unhappy domestic situation".
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered Mr Maia to be of good behaviour to everyone on the Isle of Man - but particularly the woman - for the next year.
