Accessibility checks should be done at polling stations, says electoral commission

A full accessibility check should be done at every designated polling station.

That's according to a recommendation made by the electoral commission in its recent report.

It says every venue intended to be used as a polling station should be as disability friendly as possible, including parking with disabled spaces and access to bus routes.

It suggests the Cabinet Office publish details of the level of accessibility of each station, with at least one place in each constituency to be made fully accessible.
