Survey shows Island shopping habits are changing

Shopping habits on the Isle of Man are changing with people opting for convenience and quality.

Shopping habits on the Isle of Man are changing with people opting for convenience and quality.
 
That's the message from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which has surveyed almost 1,000 people as part of the Food Matters Strategy. 
 
Data shows 70 per cent of shoppers buy Manx meat with 90 per cent purchasing locally produced staples including milk, vegetables, eggs, cheese and bread: 
 
 
A third of respondents said their household spends more than £100 a week on food and drink - with a quarter spending £71 or more.
