Ministers agree five-stage framework for borders

A five-stage framework for gradually reopening the borders in the future has been agreed by Ministers.

Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, says the framework has been agreed on by the Council of Ministers and will lay out step-by-step how borders could re-open over time.

Mr Quayle says the next stage from now - known as Level 4 - would involve allowing Manx residents and key workers to travel freely by air or boat but then must self quarantine for 14 days upon their return to the Isle of Man.

However, the Chief Minister has confirmed the Island is NOT ready to go to that stage yet and further announcements on the matter are expected to be made next week.
