Senior civil servant to take early retirement

The director of business development, Tim Craine, is to take early retirement from the role.

Mr Craine has worked in the civil service for the past 34 years, most of that time spent heavily involved with the business community.

In recent years he has been a key figure in establishing both the Island’s e-gaming and space industries, which both playing major roles in ensuring the Island has steered clear of recession.

Mr Craine has said he feels the time is right for a change of pace, and says he looks forward to pursuing some interesting personal and business opportunities.

Chief executive Chris Corlett has said plans are in place to ensure the gap left by Mr Craine will be adequately resourced within the Department.
