New measures are being put in place which aim to reduce congestion during the TT races.
If there are delays or postponements on race days this year, most of the course will reopen between 5pm and 6pm to help people with their journeys home.Only the mountain section will remain closed during these times.
The Department of Infrastructure says it will give people more certainty about when they’ll be able to travel and allow those who live inside the course to get home from work.
The new system won’t apply on Senior Race Day as it’s a bank holiday.
