Boy Left With Minor Injuries After Collision With Motorcycle

Police Appeal For Information Following Hit and Run

Police are appealing after a hit and run incident has left a small boy with injuries.

It happened this morning at 9.45am.

A collision occurred in the area of a footpath that runs alongside Scooil Ree Gorree between Lezayre Road and Lezayre Estate; it involved a classic motorcycle and a 7-year-old boy on a pushbike.

The boy suffered minor injuries to his back and head as a result of the collision.

The motorcyclist failed to stop or report the incident.

The motorbike is described as a black 30’s style Velocette Mov with the number 59 on a plate in red number on the front of the bike.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Police immediately.
