Working alongside experienced programmers and designers, you will implement features and improvements to our e-commerce platform and assist delivery of new websites.

 

As a junior developer you will be working and learning at a fast pace with exposure to many new technologies including: Microsoft.Net (C#), SQL Server, ASP.Net including MVC framework, XML, XSLT and content management systems.  Previous development experience and any relevant training or qualifications in the computing field are advantageous.

Analyst Programmer

Experienced .net programmer required to join our busy team. Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of our core business systems including multi-channel order processing, integration to our e-commerce platform and our reporting engine. Duke are moving into exciting new areas including digital download delivery and you will be using the latest technologies to create interesting and varied solutions.

The ideal candidate will have several years' experience working with the Microsoft .Net platform (preferably C#) and SQL Server and will have a strong analytical approach to development. A good grasp of database design and architecture is essential. Candidates will be assessed primarily on experience, although a degree in computing, or an equivalent qualification such as Microsoft MCSD/MCP, would be advantageous, but not essential.

Key technologies inuse: Microsoft .Net (C#), SQL Server 2000 and onwards, TSQL, ASP.NET including MVC framework, XML, XSLT, content management and workflow systems.

Web Designer

We are looking for an innovative designer to join our team as we expand our global ecommerce presence. You will contribute to a number of major commercial websites, including sites for Sky Sports and ESPN, as well as working closely with our traditional media and programming teams. Responsibilities will include using modern web design techniques to create eye-catching designs and promotions across our portfolio of websites, while demonstrating usability awareness and working to deadlines.

You will be working on major commercial websites including e-commerce sites for Sky Sports and ESPN.
You will be familiar with modern web design techniques and aware of usability implications to your work. Liaising with our traditional media and programming teams, you will create artwork for innovative promotions across our websites, and ensure that client changes are actioned on-time.

Applicants will need an excellent understanding of CSS and XHTML and will be able to use industry standard design software such as photoshop for artwork.
